At one user's request, Okuji added a stricter check for LBA support before 0.5.94 was released. What I want to know is who had encountered problems with LBA being detected incorrectly before this check was made strict. If the stricter check HELPS you (it allows your machine to boot), please reply and tell us your configuration. I'm asking because maybe we should change Grub's defaults.
