Bug either in GRUB or LD or my head.

I've observed some seriously weird behavior.
For some reason when I compile an elf image(with DJGPP for elf) and specify
to LD(v2.9)
the specific entry point (with command line -e somefunc) GRUB 0.5.92 stops
recognizing
the ELF image as ELF, and claims that it is unsupported or invalid
executable format.

Is that normal? Am I doing something wrong? Is LD doing something wrong? Is
Grub doing something wrong?
