  There are three ways to add it:

1) Shrink the size of stage1. I know it can be some bytes smaller,
since I talked with Andrew Clausen about this issue rather keenly. I
don't know if that is enough for your purpose, though.
2) Rewrite the binary image directly when installing GRUB. This is
ugly but should work well.
3) Create another stage1, as I did for "stage1_lba" in the past. This
is reasonable, since most of the users don't need such a feature.
