I'm not sure what you mean by displaying my reiserfs directories.  Which
ones?  

The testload returns a bunch of data; it's cut off, and due to the grub shell, 
shift-pgup will not allow me to view the initial portition of it, so i can

the menu is not displayed; it gives me the error 16 during the stage1.5 load.  
It never gets to the shell at all.. it loads stage1, starts on stage1.5 (which
_should_ understand resierfs), gives the error 16 and bails.
