Yes with LILO

I finally found something anyway: having a look into the SCSI controller
settings at boot time, I noticed that the "multiple LUN" attribute for the
concerned device was set to "Yes" (cant remember why it was set that way).
Switching to "No" made things work like charm, more precisely GRUB now says
"Error: File not found" (my fault - a typo in the config file) instead of the
"Error Selected disk does not exist" message raised whenever "multiple LUN" is
set to "Yes" in the SCSI controller (I cross-checked).
Going to make one more step forward and install GRUB on that SCSI disk now!
By the way, could multiple LUNs support be a concern for many users?
