I believe Caldera would be happy with just vt100/ansi support. Real dumb
terminal support is not needed.
I would suggest that some form of reliable ascii input should work to
get to a boot prompt such that if the user can not read the screen,
there would be a fallback thing to type to get to the prompt. This would
allow the user to at least type in the boot steps without being able to
read the menu.
