Hello, I'm trying to install GRUB on a Gateway E-3400 computer. However, I've run into a problem. At some point in the bootup, GRUB seems to probe (or do something with) the 3.5" floppy drive, at which point it (GRUB) hangs, while the floppy drive light remains on. "GRUB Loading stage2.." is displayed on the screen. This happens only when I boot GRUB off the hard drive. No other boot loader has a problem, and I can boot GRUB from a floppy fine. If I disable the floppy controller in the BIOS, no problem. GRUB moves on and boots fine. I'm using GRUB on other computers without a problem. Is there any way to disable whatever GRUB is doing with the floppy drive? -Matt Stegman <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> _______________________________________________ Bug-grub mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-grub
