In the new DHCP releases, this option actually work, and enable a
machine to get it's network info by supplying a unit name, instead of an
hardware address, which really helps in places that there is luck of
ability to control / monitor the nic's . (or political reasons not to
...)
therefor, I think it will be wise to use it - add an option in the grub
DHCP implementation, to supply that name to the dhcp client to the
server, instead of the hardware address, which will make some sys-admins
smile ...
