Below are some change-suggestions for the new
user-manual. The first change contains some stylistic
enhancements (despite I'm not a native speaker,
I think that the it is easier to understand).
The second change is the only solution I found to
convince my teTeX in texi2pdf'ing the manual
(I had the same problem with the "old" manual).
I'm using teTeX 1.0.6-4 (dated Feb, 2000)
on a Caldera eDesktop 2.4 with the texinfo.tex
upgraded to the version 2000-12-11.07. It may be
my ignorance of texinfo, but I got the error included
at the bottom without that change. It seems to me
that texi2pdf cannot handle the nested
@value{VERSION} inside an @uref.
