first, let me tell you: grub is a totaly amazing bootloader. it works very, very will, is easy to use, has tons of usefull features, and a very good documentation. please add a note: terminal has this (very important) --timeout flag. this is documented in the reference part of the document, but the "Serial terminal" section should have a small hint, too. also, i made a mistake: i did set "default 3", but there was only one entry. i was too fast at cut&paste. my mistake. but shouldn´t i get some sort of an error message ? maybe i didn´t notice, but i think there was none. i worked with serial terminal only. again, thanks for the great grub bootloader. installed it on the last machine without grub a few minutes ago, tested the serial stuff, and it works fine. the machine is located two hours from here. regards, andreas _______________________________________________ Bug-grub mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-grub
