I am running Debian on kernel-2.4.6 with reiserfs 3.6.25 and grub 5.96.1
cvs530-6. Grub will load my kernel from an ext2 partition and then use
the reiserfs rootfilesystem. When i try to load the kernel from the reiserfs
grub does nothing. No msgs , just a flicker of the boot menu.
When i copied my ext2 system to reiserfs i mounted the reiserfs with
-o notail ( i read this is necessary so grub gets installed properly).
When i ran grub setup (hd0) i got the msgs that reiserfs_stage1_5 exits
and /boot/grub/reiserfs_stage1_5(hd0) 18 sectors embedded
succeeded install stage1(hd0) ...(hd0,6) boot grub stage2 succeeded.
(hd0,6) is my reiserfs rootfilesystem including /boot and the kernel.
Any clues greatly appreciated.
