Hello from Gregg C Levine I have, I hope, a relatively simple question to ask. How are the images created, that are stored on the ftp server. On it I find them arranged thusly, and I am quoting here from the README that was created for an earlier version of GRUB: grub-VERSION.tar.gz ... a source tarball grub-VERSION-ARCH.ext2fs ... a bootable filesystem image grub-VERSION-ARCH.tar.gz ... a tarball of the image contents It then gives instructions upon how to write it to disk, and thence what else to do, there. However, I am constructing a kernel for testing an operating system that is designed to be booted, using GRUB, and I would like to have some idea of where to go from here. Or there. ------------------- Gregg C Levine mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] ------------------------------------------------------------ "The Force will be with you...Always."
