OK, not remove the "--stage2" option, but don't make it perform
writes.
It's still very convenient for various sanity checks I've been
experimenting with (the main one right now is to stat the file and
to check that the size the OS-level filesystem code returns is the
same as GRUB thinks), as well as the FIBMAP feature in Linux, to have
the normal filename in the GRUB shell.
