My menu.lst currently ends as follows: title OS/2 eCS rootnoverify (hd1,2) hide (hd1,0) unhide (hd1,2) #map (0x81) (0x80) #map (0x80) (0x81) makeactive chainloader +1

Grub is on hda MBR. The OS'es on hd0 all boot fine, but none of of (hd1,x) will start. Grub displays as subject line indicates, and fails to obey the fallback directive. Linux was installed after everything else. OS/2 eCS was successfully installed to (hd1) by having IBM Boot Manager installed on (hd0,2) prior to installing W2K. Both (hd1,0) and (hd1,2) booted fine as D: using IBM Boot Manager. My brain is fried trying to find anything I missed in http://www.gnu.org/manual/grub-0.90/html_mono/grub.html or http://www.linuxdoc.org/HOWTO/mini/Multiboot-with-GRUB.html. I sure would appreciate it if someone could tell me what I am missing. -- "Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain.
