I have a configuration where I have WinXP installed on Drive B, and
Linux + Grub Installed on Drive A.

My bios is cool, as I can tell it which drive to boot (so if I boot
Drive A, grub loads fine, and if I boot Drive B, winXP's boot loader
comes up fine) What I'm trying to do is figure out a way for me to be
able to load WinXP's boot loader from grub (so I don't have to
continously change things around).

I'd want to do something like root=/dev/hdb, but thats impossible in
grub, you have to say hd(disk, partition) and I don't want hd(1,0) I want
hd(1), but thats illegal syntax.

what am I supposed to do?

thanks
