loading modules via network

Hi, I'm trying to boot a linux kernel from the net (a tftp server) and load it on the client machine on the root filesystem (a local disk). Thi process is successfull if I use a monolitic kernel or if I use a modular kernel and let it load the modules from the root filesystem, but fails if I want the module be loaded from the network,too. Is there anyone who can help me loading modules from the network? Thanks
