I've had a request for functionality in GRUB similar to lilo's message= directive. This allows sites to have a message file which they then display on boot for various warnings or information about the machine in question. Is this something that sounds reasonable for inclusion? If so, I'll go ahead and implement it and send a patch, but if it's not going to be generally accepted, I'm just going to tell them that it won't be implemented.
