I know, but I don't still understand your question. According to his reports, a program for Windows was suspected that it had modified the free space after the MBR (where Stage 1.5 was embedded), so he deleted Stage 1.5 in the GRUB directory and reinstalled GRUB. Thus his GRUB installation now works without Stage 1.5. Am I missing anything?
