I recently have been trying to install Red Hat 8 on the
second drive of my system. The first disk has XP Home on it. The system is a new
Dell PC so I am wondering if that has something to do with it. Dell’s
Bios will not allow anything other than XP to be installed on the first hard drive.
Everything seems to go fine with the install and I rewrite the MBR with no
problems. When I reboot though I only get the following “ GRUB _ “ and it just
hangs with the underscore blinking. I have tried to look at the conf file of the
grub install and haven’t been successful in modifying it. It seems that
no matter what the conf file is set to it still brings the same prompt and
