I discovered a possible GRUB problem when booting from the Xen Live CD. I raised a bug there:

http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=464

The short version seems to be that GRUB doesn't seem to want to find my CD-ROM drive. When I boot from the Live CD, it drops me to the "grub>" prompt. If I type "configfile (<TAB>", I see "fd0 fd1... fd7 hd". No "cd" in there.

The laptop is an Acer Aspire 1313LC, and the BIOS is revision 3A23. There *is* a 3A25 out there, but I haven't upgraded yet.

Even though I've circumvented the problem (used a different machine), I'd like to see if I can solve this problem (i.e. raise a bug with enough detail that the grub experts can solve the problem).
