there is a way to boot a CD after having booted GRUB.

I have written up, what worked for me (and I have setup
a pointer in the Grub-Wiki). Feel free to ask me directly
in the case that you need more help.

The info is here: http://www.lrz.de/~bernhard/grub-chain-cd.html
the pointer there: http://grub.enbug.org/GrubLegacy (Chainloading ...)
