menu.lst will have these rows:
timeout 5
default 0
color light-blue/black light-cyan/blue

title ArchLinux
root (hd1,1)
kernel /boot/bzImage root=/dev/hda2
initrd /boot/initrd26.img

title WinXP

chainloader +1

This is not a grub but.
This is a WXP misfeature. He cannot boot from 2nd hard disk but from 1st hard disk.

Try this in your usb menu.lst:

title WinXP
map (hd0) (hd1)
map (hd1) (hd0)
root (hd1,0)
makeactive
chainloaer +1

Check #6 on http://adrian15.raulete.net/grub/tiki-index.php?page=EnFaq&bl
for a method that does not make delete your pendrive when you installed grub on it.

You can find a version of Super Grub Disk for usb on http://adrian15.raulete.net/grub/ (Super Grub Disk site).

If you like Super Grub Disk wouldn't you consider yourself to be my Italian translator?
