Details:
using ubuntu 6.06 w/ default grub 0.97 installation
when there is trailing white-space on the line
default saved
in menu.lst, the savedefault command has no effect and the default is not
updated.
not sure you will call this a bug, but extra white-space is an easy enough
mistake to make, the behavior is not expected, and it took a long time to
guess the problem.
