Follow-up Comment #3, bug #18574 (project grub):
Well, I am not sure how much this will help, but could you simply send the
IRQ lines of your SATA board and of your PS2 mouse when attached ? I think of
a possible bug in the driver (as seen by grub so it might just be a BIOS
interacting with GRUB problem).
