Oh as I replied to your Debian Report I didn't see that you did indeed
forward this.
But well this is about grub-legacy which is not support at all now.
grub2 is teh future now and in fact it should even support these devices
taken from util/biosdisk.c

if (strncmp ("mmcblk", p, sizeof ("mmcblk") - 1) == 0)
So closing the report, feel free to reopen in case it does indeed not work
with current grub2 (either upstream SVN or debian lenny should be recent
enough.)
