Details:
Hello.
I think I found a bug in the software. Here is description.
OS: Debian GNU/Linux (testing brunch)
package version: grub 0.97-59 i386
I add my rule to /etc/grub.d/40_custom, and if I don't put empty line (with
empty line all works perfect) in this file I have next line in
/boot/grub/grub.cfg file (generated by grub-mkconfig):
---
}### END /etc/grub.d/40_custom ###
---
So, as you can see we have comment not in the new line, but in the last line
of 40_custom file. With this situation this menu item is missing (don't show
at all) during boot. And when I move comment to new line it shows as it must.
So, I think problem in grub.cfg parser code. Also you can find my
configuration files in attachments.
I hope I describe the situation as clear that you can understand.
Best regards, Viacheslav.
