Follow-up Comment #3, bug #28807 (project grub):
Hi,
I zero'ed out the entire drive (dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/hdc) and
repartitioned, and now the problem does not happen. I assume it was some
strange partition table bug / filesystem bug, but I'm not sure. Anyway, I'm
closing this bug now, since it does not happen any more.
