To Grub2 support team,
I need a little to a lot of help.
I am somewhere in between a beginner and a novice user.
So I will need very detailed instructions that require absolutely no prior
knowledge to make it idiot proof.
I messed up my dual boot hard drive with trying to use the Apricorn cloning
system to replace my Windows XP
.
I wound up having to reload Windows XP from a newly acquired replacement CD.
I also had to re-install Ubuntu 9.10.
I went through several gyrations of installations and now have the following
dilemma.
The grub2 dual boot screen appears and I can boot to Windows XP with no
problem.
When I select any of the Linux images it says:
"error: no such device: 5e81b575-37f5-46ca-8ee9-033e71e4cd95
Press any key to continu..._"
The UUID is correct as I have verified it with a live-cd.
When I go to grub2 and attempt command line mode the screen looks like this:

Are there any tools that I can use to attempt to retrieve or repair this
hard drive without a high risk of more data lose?
If I need to make a post of this problem on a Ubuntu forum please let me
know which forum I should be using?
Is there anymore information that I can provide to help to resolve this
issue other then me trying to explain exactly how I arrived where I am?
