I'm having exactly the same problem as stated here before on my gentoo system. I tried the fix as stated here before tho i'm my care it doesn't seem to work properly. It now hangs on loading stage 2.
I also made a forum topic about this here: http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-845799.html but there aint a decent solution till i found this mailing. Hope you guys can help.
