Follow-up Comment #1:
The only related info in MBR is the NTID which was never overwritten by GRUB.
Moreover even if it did it would result in:
a) failed boot
b) bcd containing incorrect information but still modifiable.
The problem with bcdedit (you didn't tell which problem exactly) probably has
a different origin (like FS corruption) which happened in approximately the
same time.
Unless additional info (feel free to supply) suggests otherwise I'm closing
this bug report as invalid
