I've got a hard drive with grub2 menu on first partition, w2k on 2nd
partition and SystemRescueCD on 3rd partition - this works great.

However, If I move the hard drive to a PC that has a different motherboard,
grub2 won't boot the w2k partition (the SystemRescueCD partition still
works).

When I select the W2k menu entry, the screen goes blank except for a
flashing underscore and it remains like that forever. Something (I assume
grub2) still responds to Caps Lock and Ctrl/Alt/Del though. If I put the
hard drive back into the original PC, it works fine again.

I understand that w2k may not function correctly on different motherboard
but 'nothing at all' happens - not even the ntldr loading bar is shown,
making me think the hand-over isn't taking place.
