Details:
For a project I am working on, I needed to be able to boot OpenBSD from a FAT
partition (not supported by OpenBSD bootloader) and pass in a boot parameter
to specify a serial port as the console device.
This is not implemented for version 1.98 of GRUB, so I implemented it
myself. This is a very useful feature that I would like to suggest be
included in future revisions. Attached is a patch that implements a new boot
parameter (--tty=comX) for the kopenbsd command. It has worked in all of my
tests. Feel free to contact me with further questions.
