Hi, 915resolution didn't worked on my intel card out of the box, but with a couple of trivial lines and with the help of the patch from here (http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/lofiversion/index.php/t129744.html) it was really easy to make it work, and those lines really don't do anything, just let 915resolution recognize my chipset and do what it does for the others. I already filed a bug report with the attached patch: (http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?33770).
Another nice feature was to give an ability to 915resolution to suppress its messages if everything works. Bug report: (http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?33771) Although i think you don't really have time for such minor cosmetic things, and i think my patch is really ugly, it was a thing only for me, and I'm rather clueless how are these things made in other programs. Btw, i really like what you did, i could even managed to boot with a totally messed up config using the built-in shell, I think having that much control and robustness right at the start is awesome.
