I tested it and the bug is still in GRUB 2.
file #27142 This grub.cfg was created inside a virtual machine by GRUB 2.00
and was working.
file #27143 This grub.cfg was created inside chroot with GRUB 2.00, which
resulted in a defunct grub.cfg.
