Follow-up Comment #3, bug #34539 (project grub):
Mike: I'm not so sure. The bug you mention involves gold entirely rejecting
7C00 but accepting 0x7C00; the bug Vladimir describes (and which I can
reproduce, although I'm not certain where it resides) involves gold accepting
0x7C00 but apparently adding 0x1000 to it.
