Details:
Sorry for the duplicate, but I don't seem to
be able to re-open the original ticket #51466.
If the multiboot header requests the
gfx mode using the appropriate flag,
but the mode parameters are set to 0
for auto, grub seems to be taking the
mode from EDID, ignoring the gfxpayload=keep.
