If a drive is not plugged into the first SATA slot, and a drive with EFI system partition is plugged into another SATA slot, then grub-2.12 doesn't hang. If a drive is plugged into the first SATA slot and doesn't have EFI system partition, then grub-2.12 hangs indefinitely.
