Thanks for the bug report.  This will be fixed in the next release,
which should be available in the next week or so.  The cause was an
instability in a continued fraction, you can find the corrected code 
in cvs at http://sources.redhat.com/gsl/devel.html (specfunc/gamma_inc.c).
