Thank you for the logs. I do think that is a compiler or system library
problem.

Whether they are in double or extended registers, the results of the
intermediate operations would not be different enough to change the final
result assuming they are computed correctly.

If the pow function pow(x,1) doesn't return an exact result of x it could
cause the final incorrect rounding.
