Hi to all
with macosx 10.4.11 build 8S165 and G5 PPC and ./configure CC=compiler && make && make check 


with powerpc-apple-darwin8-gcc-4.0.1 (GCC) 4.0.1 (Apple Computer,  
Inc. build 5370)  	all ok

with fink gcc-4 (GCC) 4.4.4                                                     
                                                        all ok
