Yeah, it is--sorry.  Actually, the entire fdi.c thing was written in
a couple of hours in order to show to my boss that such a thing could
be done, so that he would start using Guile.  :)

It's very experimental and we want to design a real C API.

BTW, Maurizio Vitale already reported this long ago, but since I'm a
lazy bastard, I haven't taken care of that yet...
