Just doing $ make clean $ make CFLAGS=-g should be enough. I'll give it a try, though. I will install GCC 3 on our Sparc box and see whether I can reproduce the problem. I will have to get up to speed again about what our problems were exactly on IA-32 re GCC 3 and I'll try to find similar fixes for Sparc.
