If instead you get an error such as:
Unbound variable: scheme-implementation-type
then a solution is to get a newer version of Guile, or to modify
`ice-9/slib.scm' to use `define-public' for the offending
variables.
1] Both guile and SLIB are the most current versions available.
2] The second part may make sense to a Scheme programmer, but I don't grok
it.
So as I mentioned I searched for a bug report and found the message
previously posted which led me to painfully opaque and prolific error
messages. For problem #2, could someone take the time to outline exactly
what files I should edit to get SLIB working, preferably with pre-and-post
snippets? (Is a patch file against 1.8.2 (or 3a4) too much to hope for? :)
