A useful workaround and possible the real fix is to change line 106 of
the guix-install.sh GNU_URL="https://ftpmirror.gnu.org/gnu/guix";
to simply "https://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/guix";. This worked like a charm for
me. I spent a fair while being kind of put off by the fact that the docs
are wrong but I think this has only been an outage for the last couple
of days.
I did already email [email protected] about this issue. Hopefully they can get
somebody involved. Or this issue will. I'm new here too so I'm tying to
be helpful not annoying. (probably should have done webmaster. well darn)
