After 7 years, 11 weeks and 3 days, this ticket feels really alone,
especially when the bug is still there, if I read correctly.

Well, after more than 7 years, maybe this bug is now a feature. ;-)

Considering the project switched from Debbugs to Codeberg on 2025 [::]
and considering the migration path states that both ’bug-guix’ and
’guix-patches’ mailing lists should be now in “Emergency Moderation”
mode, what could be the best next action?

Closing without any further action?
Let it here waiting a bit more?
Transferring to Codeberg as a fresh issue?

WDYT?

Cheers,
simon

PS: This message contributes to the effort of transferring (or closing!)
the open tickets from the deprecated tracker system to the current
issue tracker hosted on Codeberg <https://codeberg.org/guix/guix>.

Please join the effort by cleaning all your tickets that remain open.
