/**************************************************************************/ [bugs #8470] Full Item Snapshot: URL: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?func=detailitem&item_id=8470> Project: The GNU Hurd Submitted by: Marcus Brinkmann On: Tue 04/06/04 at 14:59 Category: GNU Mach Severity: 3 - Ordinary Priority: 5 - Normal Item Group: None Resolution: None Assigned to: None Originator Name: Originator Email: Status: Open Reproducibility: Every Time Size (loc): Low <30 Effort: 2.00 Summary: boot script parser is not robust Original Submission: The boot script parser causes the kernel to panic (with page fault dereferencing a zero pointer for example) if there is an error in the boot script, instead giving a useful error message. For example, having an extra new line in the ext2fs module line before --device-master-port triggers this behaviour. There may be many more such error types in the parser.
