From my part, I'd gladly do a release, but, unfortunately, I've got no admin privileges for the project.
Why are admin privileges needed to make a release? Is it not just a matter of making a tag in the CVS tree, uploading the tarball that you get after `make distcheck` to ftp.gnu.org, and posting a announcment to [EMAIL PROTECTED] We'll have to ask Jeff or Marcus to do this or to delegate admin rights to one (or both) of us.
