This option is provided by all the other flavours of traceroute (most of them from BSD) that I could find.
How is the option different from --tries? As far as I see it, this patch only renames queries to tries, and adds the new option --queries, and I think --tries is much clearer; we can provide --queries/-q for compatibility, but in the code, and the prefered option should be --tries IM(NS?)HO. There is a alias option to argp that one can use for this. All of them stress on NUM being greater than 0, while a few of them also require it to be less than or equal to 10. I chose [0, 10] as an interval for NUM since 10 looks like a reasonably big number for the purposes of traceroute. I think the interval should be [0, oo]. _______________________________________________ bug-inetutils mailing list [email protected] http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-inetutils
