If you still need someone to work on GNU Internet Utilities, I'd be interested. I've been doing socket programming in C for about 14 years now (off and on); I haven't done anything with IPv6 in POSIX, but I have implemented an IPv6 stack of my own (for a microkernel I did for my master's thesis).
Welcome, any help on inetutils is most apperciated. Best way to start contributing is simply to use it, and see what you find missing, or broken.
