Eh, unfortunately part of the problem is that we're all super busy with other things in life. That's why we need help. =)
To make sure: You've compiled inetutils and run it on your platform, yes? An initial way to get a feel for what needs to be done is to actually run it for a week and see what things feel wrong when FTPing, telneting, etc. Everyone on the team tries to answer technical questions relatively quickly. "Hi, what's up?" emails, sadly, go a little long before a response.
